Which is better, capacitive level sensor or floating ball level switch? Whats the difference?

Release time: 2024-12-04 Read volume: 103

The floating ball in the floating ball level switch is floating according to the rise and fall of the liquid level, the floating ball contains a magnet, used to attract the contact of the magnetic spring switch, produce on or off action, so as to give the on-off signal.

Capacitive liquid level sensor output is digital signal, is according to detect the capacitor value difference to judge water without water, water output low level signal; no water output high level signal.

The floating ball level switch has loose and complex appearance structure and large volume, which belongs to mechanical operation products, and the scale generated after a long use time will lead to the aggravation of the floating ball and affect the accuracy of liquid level detection. Floating ball is prone to jam phenomenon, so can not detect thick liquid and liquid containing impurities, low reliability.

The capacitive liquid level sensor is small in volume, so the sensor only needs to be close to the wall of the insulated container. The capacitive liquid level sensor does not need to directly contact the liquid detection, so it is not affected by the liquid color, corrosion and impurities, with high reliability and convenient installation.
