Which liquid level sensors can be used for water shortage protection in the water tank

Release time: 2024-12-04 Read volume: 120

What are the methods for water shortage protection of the water tank? The liquid level sensor has photoelectric liquid level sensor, capacitive liquid level sensor, floating ball switch and other liquid level sensors. The appropriate liquid level sensor is selected according to different application scenarios, and the water level change is judged by the output signal of the liquid level sensor when there is no water.

The photoelectric liquid level sensor has the characteristics of small volume, high precision, no mechanical movement inside, long life, etc. According to the different refraction of light in different media to judge the change of liquid level. Due to its structure and working principle, the floating ball switch can not detect the liquid with high viscosity or containing debris. The floating ball may therefore get stuck, leading to adverse effects. Moreover, the temperature and the scale may also affect its stability. Internal magnet is easy to absorb impurities in water to form scale, and its structure is relatively loose and complex, which is not easy to clean. All of these factors may lead to sphere weight gain, affect the accuracy of liquid level detection, and may not meet food hygiene standards.

The capacitive type is suitable for the insulated water tank, and there are certain requirements for the thickness of the water tank. By measuring the change of the capacitance value, the change of the liquid level can be accurately detected. When used, the sensor surface needs to be kept dry to avoid moisture affecting the sensor performance. During the installation process, the range of 2 cm around the probe is required to avoid large metal or magnetic field to avoid interference and affect the accuracy of the sensor. It is recommended to use the sensor at room temperature.

The selection of water tank protection should choose the appropriate liquid level sensor according to the actual application environment, and different application scenarios have different requirements for liquid level sensor.
